" NOKIA X " Might Be The Name Of Nokia's Normandy Android Phone

" Nokia X " Will Be The Android Phone By Nokia Soon Going To Launch

The Most Rumored Phone On Internet Now a days comes in news again. The Latest leak news from @evleaks that Name of New Nokia Android will be " NOKIA X ". This rumored phone is now been months on the internet and new leaks are coming on daily basis. Nokia's rumoured budget Android smartphone, thought to be codenamed Normandy, has been in the news for months now, with leaked images hitting the Internet on a regular basis, along with speculated availability and specifications.
Now @evleaks has claimed that Nokia's only Android phone might be launched as the Nokia X. The popular phone tipster's tweet reads, "Project Normandy = Nokia X." It is noteworthy that in the past, @evleaks has come out with fairly accurate information regarding yet-to-be-announced devices and we will not be surprised if he manages to hit the bull's eye even with Nokia's alleged Android phone.

Unfortunately, there are no details except the alleged Nokia X name which the tipster claims will be Normandy's final name.

Earlier, phone tipster @evleaks had posted a pair of screenshot which it claimed to show the alleged Nokia Normandy's UI. The leaked screenshots of the Normandy's UI purportedly reveals the home screen and the notifications page. Notably, the home screen panel's leaked screenshot included apps for dialler, message, contacts, internet, Twitter, Skype, MixRadio, Here Maps, Camera app, Plants Vs. Zombies, Gallery, Vine, Facebook, Calculator, Calendar, Alarms, Music, Downloads, Radio, Viber, Opera and WeChat. It's worth pointing out that the home screen of the alleged Normandy looked very similar to the tiles-based UI seen on Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices.

In addition, the leaked home screen panel of Normandy also included the BBM app which points to the device actually running Android version (BBM is not on Windows Phone, and won't be, for the near future), however, there are no credible reports on the Android version as of now.

We have already seen the alleged Nokia X aka Normandy in images supporting dual-SIMs and Wi-Fi.

Prior to this, the alleged Nokia X, though to be codenamed Nokia Normandy was leaked in a render that purportedly revealed the device in multiple colours. The leaked render showed the rumoured Nokia X in six colour variants, including Black, Cyan, Green, Red, White and Yellow.

Hot News : Officially Symbian Development Has Finally Comes To An End Said By Nokia

Officially Symbian Development Has Finally Comes To An End Said By Nokia

We knew this day would come, but didn't think it would happen so soon. After January 1st, 2014, Nokia is no longer accepting either new applications or updates for existing apps into the Nokia Store. The email, sent out to all developers today, is quoted below, but my first impression is that the refusal to allow app updates is something of a contravention of Nokia's stated intent to "support Symbian until 2016". After all, without the facility to update apps to maintain compatibility with the wider world and to respond to security issues and bugs, the Symbian ecosystem is rather left in the lurch.

Here's the email sent out by Nokia :

Dear Nokia Developer,

With the growing business opportunities available on the Asha and Windows Phone platforms, we have been reviewing our developer content programs to see how we can maximize our support to you, our developers. As a result of this review, we have decided to focus our support and investment in new content toward Asha and Windows Phone. Over the next few months we will be transitioning our active developer support away from Symbian and MeeGo.
If you have Symbian and MeeGo content in the Nokia Store, it will continue to be available for download to customers, and you will continue to receive download and revenue reports as well as payouts for downloaded content. However, starting January 1, 2014, you will no longer be able to publish any new content or update existing content for Symbian and MeeGo.
We are very excited about the opportunities available with Asha and Windows Phone, and hope that you will bring your talents to these platforms. We believe that these changes will help improve our ability to support you as you develop fantastic apps for your customers.

Nokia may well be 'very excited', but I think 'very disappointed' is going to better reflect the mood of the many tens of millions of very active Symbian users and the remaining Symbian developers. The possibility for not seeing new applications after January 1st is perhaps not that much of an issue, since genuinely new applications of any substance have been rare over the last few months, but the cessation of accepting updates will almost completely kill the active use of Symbian smartphones for some people. After all, if you can't rely on developers responding to Internet service API changes (think Facebook, YouTube, etc.) or to address security issues, then surely the platform's effectively dead?

Then What Is The future?

Assuming that Nokia doesn't relent and change its mind about accepting updates (which seems unlikely given the impending new ownership and the gradual move away from Symbian experience and expertise at the company), then the active Symbian community, however vestigial it ends up being/feeling, may well have to think again about how software is discovered and distributed.

We're already seeing many developers putting up their freeware Symbian applications on their own web sites, for direct download (i.e. of SIS files), and this trend can only continue. Although this system works well enough, it does mean a lot of work for users in terms of discovery, which is why I started up my own application and games directory pages some months ago. I suspect that others may well produce lists along the same lines.

The situation for commercial software is, of course, more complicated. The altruist in me says that (especially at this stage in Symbian's life) developers should simply make their work freeware after January 1st, making it not necessary for users to have to jump through PayPal/GetJar (etc.) hoops to buy the latest version of their applications. Hopefully many developers will indeed do this - after all, most active Symbian users who were going to by their apps will probably already have done so? For the remaining developers, they'll have to put up with remaining income from the Nokia Store, albeit from potentially older versions of their applications, plus whatever they can scrape together from sales from independent app stores/pages.

It is clear from mail that Nokia is now focusing on Asha and Windows Phone platform. Symbian and Meego is of least to no importance.

Hot News : Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Specification Leaked Again

Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Specification Leaked Again

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo, rumoured to be a new mid-range smartphone under company's Grand series has been unofficially 'confirmed' via leaked internal documents.
GSMArena has posted a few leaked internal documents related to the Samsung's yet-to-be-announced Galaxy Grand Neo which reveal complete specifications of the device. According to the leaked Galaxy Grand Neo documents, the smartphone is said to be priced at 299 Euros in Europe after tax, which translates to roughly Rs. 25,500. However, there is no word on the availability of the alleged Galaxy Grand Neo.

The alleged Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo is said to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box with company's TouchWiz on top. The smartphone is likely to be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core A7 processor (unspecified chipset) with 1GB of RAM. Further, the leaked internal documents suggest that the rumoured Galaxy Grand Neo sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, alongside VGA front-facing camera. The smartphone is said to come with 8GB of inbuilt storage with expandable storage support.

Connectivity options on the alleged Galaxy Grand Neo include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS/ AGPS, 3G, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. The smartphone is rumoured to boast dimensions 143.7x77.1x9.6mm. The smartphone is said to pack a 2100mAh battery.

Notably, the leaked specifications of the alleged Galaxy Grand Neo seem to fit the previously-rumoured Galaxy Grand Lite, and might very well be the same phone.

Samsung finally launched the Galaxy Grand 2 for the Indian market in December last year. However, the company is yet-to-announce the final price of the smartphone, though it did give a tentative price range between Rs. 22,900 and Rs. 24,900.

Hot News : ZTE Nubia 5S And 5S Mini Launched At CES 2014

ZTE Nubia 5S And 5S Mini Launched At CES 2014

Aside from the Grand S II, ZTE also took the opportunity at CES to show off a couple of other handsets that have so far only made an appearance in China. Both the Nubia 5s and the 5s mini are essentially follow-ups to the Nubia 5 we saw a few months ago, with slightly different designs and specs. The 5s has a very similar look to the 5, with a 5-inch 1080p display and a slim chassis that marries a plastic back with aluminum sides. Measuring 137mm by 68.8mm by 7.6mm and weighing in at 126 grams, the 5s has a surprisingly premium feel thanks to the cool sharp edges on the front and curves on the back. Unlike the 5, the 5s has a dedicated camera button.

Another nice upgrade is that the 5s comes packed with a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC, which is certainly an improvement over the S4 Pro on the 5. We didn't notice any discernible lag while navigating the phone and it feels quite zippy overall, though admittedly we only tried it out for a few minutes. Other specs include a 5-megapixel front camera, a 13-megapixel rear one with optical image stabilization, a 2,300mAh battery, 4k video capture, 2GB of RAM, DLNA, Bluetooth and NFC support. As far as software goes, the Nubia 5s runs a custom ZTE version of Android 4.2. We're especially intrigued by the camera software, which allows you to fine-tune the exposure, focus and even white balance by dragging certain shape icons across the screen. And of course, there are built-in camera filters a la Instagram as well.

Quick Look At ZTE 5s :

Quick Look At ZTE 5S Mini :

While the 5s is positioned as a higher-end consumer handset, the 5s mini is aimed at a slightly younger audience. This is evident the moment we turned on the screen -- the UI was adorned with adorable cartoon animals as shortcut icons. A ZTE rep tells us that this can be customized to the users' delight via a Nubia store where you can purchase such skins. Also, the back covers come in an array of different sporty colors and can be swapped out if you wish.

Even though it's called the "mini", it really isn't too much smaller than the 5s. Indeed, the 5s mini has a 4.7-inch display, which is just 0.3 inches smaller than its bigger brother. With the measurements of 134.8mm by 65.8mm by 7.6mm and 120grams, the 5s mini has a relatively slim bezel and sports a microSD card expansion slot. Features include a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a 2,000mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and DLNA. The UI is fairly similar to the 5s, and as it sports a 1.7-GHz Snapdragon 600 chip, navigation felt snappy enough. It has the same camera software as the 5s, but it lacks the ability to fine tune the white balance as easily.

So far, the phones are only available in China, though ZTE seems to hint that it could come to the US at a later date. Until then, avail yourself to the gallery photos above to see what you're missing out.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact And Sony Xperia Z1S Launched At CES 2014

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact And Siny Xperia Z1S Launched At CES 2014

Sony has launched two new Xperia smartphones at CES 2014, the Xperia Z1 Compact, the much-awaited international mini-variant of the flagship smartphone, Xperia Z1 and the long-rumoured Xperia Z1S, which we now learn is a full-sized Xperia Z1-variant exclusive to T-Mobile in US.

The Japanese handset giant has not revealed the pricing of the Xperia Z1 Compact as of now. However, the company has revealed that the Xperia Z1 Compact will be placed between the Xperia Z1 and the previous Xperia Z smartphone variants.

While, Sony has announced that the Xperia Z1S will be available in US through T-Mobile starting January 22 and will be priced at $22 per month for two years or will be available at $603 outright (without contract), this translates to roughly Rs. 37,500.
Notably, the Sony Xperia Z1S comes with similar specifications to the Xperia Z1, though the former comes with a higher IP58 waterproof rating, which means the device, can be submerged into water for more time and depth.

The Sony Xperia Z1S runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box with Sony's custom skin on top, similar to the one seen on the Xperia Z1. The latest smartphone is powered by 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 processor along with 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB of inbuilt storage, although no word on expandable storage. The Sony Xperia Z1S comes with 5-inch full-HD Triluminos display powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. The highlight of the Xperia Z1S, much like the flagship smartphone, is the 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS sensor alongside BIONZ image processor engine and pulsed LED flash. It also includes a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Like to the Xperia Z1, the device comes with 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the Xperia Z1 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Xperia Link and 3G.
On the other hand, the mini-variant of Xperia Z1 dubbed Xperia Z1 Compact features identical specifications to the Sony Xperia Z1 f introduced under Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo's winter smartphone line-up in October, 2013.

Latest News : 4.7 inch and 5.7 inch iPhone Both Coming This Year

Latest News : 4.7 inch and 5.7 inch iPhone Both Coming This Year

Apple will reportedly launch bigger iPhones this year, with displays that measure both 4.7 and 5.7 inches diagonallys, C Technology said on Chinese social network Weibo. The information apparently comes from unnamed Foxconn executives, who supposedly said that Apple will make a “one-time exception” this year by launching two new iPhones with bigger displays. The bigger iPhone models should also come with biometric features such as the Touch ID fingerprint scanner that’s already found in the current iPhone 5s flagship.

While it obviously can’t be confirmed at this time, this new rumor echoes previous reports that suggested Apple is working on iPhone “phablets” that will debut this year in order to take on similar devices from the competition. However, it’s not clear what size screens the iPhone phablets will have.

In early September, The Wall Street Journal said the company is testing iPhone designs with screens up to 6 inches, although the size was then disputed by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who said the device would likely have a display measuring anywhere from 4.5 to 5 inches. A DisplaySearch analyst in early October said that Apple is testing 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch iPhone displays, with Cantor Fitzerald’s Brian White also saying a few days later that the 2014 iPhone may have a display that “could approach 5 inches.”

Bloomberg then followed in November, writing that Apple will launch 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones this year. Finally, the same C Technology site said in December that Apple may be testing an iPhone 6 prototype with a 4.9-inch display.

Sony Is About To Launch Windows Phone In Mid-2014

Sony Is About To Launch Windows Phone In Mid-2014

Microsoft only has a few key Windows Phone partners under its belt, but it may be expanding the ecosystem very shortly -- The Information hears from sources that Redmond is once again in talks to launch a Sony-made Windows Phone. While there's no guarantee of a deal, the partnership could introduce a handset as soon as mid-2014.

Nokia, which has been supporting the Windows Phone platform pretty much like a lone ranger, might finally be getting some company from Sony, if a new report is to be believed.
Engadget, in a report citing The Information, has revealed that Microsoft is in talks with Sony for launching a smartphone based on Windows Phone OS. The report claims that Sony might launch a Windows Phone device in mid-2014 as part of its Vaio line-up, under which the company has traditionally launched Windows-based notebooks, desktops and media centres.

Further, the report informs that the Redmond giant is also in talks with Chinese handset maker ZTE for renewing its interest in Windows Phone platform. However, the report clearly mentions that Microsoft's talks with both Sony and ZTE are yet to reach any conclusion.

An earlier report had suggested that Microsoft, in an attempt to promote its mobile and tablet ecosystem, has been considering offering free versions of Windows Phone and Windows RT to device makers. The report had claimed that free future versions of Windows Phone and Windows RT for device makers were under serious consideration by Microsoft's executive vice president of operating systems, Terry Myerson.

It's worth pointing out that Nokia dominates the Windows Phone platform with 90 percent market share, with its closest competitor, HTC at 7 percent share, while Samsung and Huawei have 1.8 and 1.3 percent market share each, respectively. A recent statistics report by AdDuplex revealed that Nokia's strategy of pushing Lumia smartphones in various price segments has been helping the company in taking the lead in terms of global Windows Phone market share.

Nokia "MONEYPENNY" First Dual-SIM Windows Phone Screenshots Leaked

Nokia "MONEYPENNY" First Dual-SIM Windows Phone Screenshots Leaked

There have been several rumours surrounding the first dual-SIM Windows Phone, believed to be codenamed Moneypenny. Now, a new leaked screenshot supposedly from the same phone appears to confirm some of those rumours.
Popular phone tipster, @evleaks has posted a screenshot that claims to reveal the Start screen of the alleged Nokia Moneypennny, a codename linked to the James Bond movies. The tweet by @evleaks includes the screenshot and reads, "Moneypenny."

The leaked screenshot shows the much-anticipated dual-SIM functionality in the alleged Nokia Moneypenny Windows Phone device. Notably, the leaked screenshot indicates that the device will support 3G connectivity on both SIMs. Further the leaked screenshot also shows Live Tiles on the Moneypenny's Start screen for Nokia MixRadio, HERE Maps, Internet Explorer, Photos, SkyDrive, Microsoft Office, Instagram, Asphalt 8 and Vine app for Windows Phone.

The screenshot leaked by @evleaks also includes on-screen navigation control buttons for back, Start and Bing search, which till now have been a part of capacitive touch buttons. If the leaked screenshot turns out to be true, Microsoft can be expected to get rid of capacitive buttons on the Windows Phone devices with the on-screen navigation controls. Unfortunately, there is no word on the launch of the alleged Nokia Moneypenny.

Earlier, a report suggested that the alleged Moneypenny Windows Phone device could be launched as Lumia 630 or Lumia 635.

However, it's worth pointing out that the Nokia Lumia 520, Nokia Lumia 620, Nokia Lumia 720, Nokia Lumia 820, Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 1020 belonged to the second generation of Nokia's Lumia line-up, while the third generation included phones such as Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia Lumia 625, and Nokia Lumia 525. Considering the Nokia's device naming nomenclature, we expect that Nokia might place the alleged Moneypenny in its third generation of Lumia line-up and call it the Lumia 635.

Nokia has been rumoured to be working on the alleged Nokia Goldfinger and Moneypenny smartphones, and out of the two Nokia phones, Goldfinger has been said to be the higher-end device. The Nokia Goldfinger smartphone is expected to feature Nokia's '3D Touch' technology, which would let users navigate the touchscreen interface without actually touching the display, while other gestures under consideration included flipping and scrolling.

Samsung Galaxy S5 To Be Built With 'New Material', Launch At MWC 2014 Report

Samsung Galaxy S5 to be built with 'New Material', launch at MWC 2014 Report

Samsung has reportedly confirmed the Samsung Galaxy S5 launch will happen in February at around the Mobile World Congress event held in Barcelona, Spain (MWC 2014).
According to the Korean media (via Sammobile), Samsung Electronics Vice President of Design Team Dong-hoon Chang met with media at an event that was held at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on New Year's occasion. Chang apparently said the speculated MWC 2014 launch for the Samsung Galaxy S5 was about right.

Chang seemingly also confirmed that the company was using a new material for the Galaxy S5's construction, and said the possibility of a flexible display was 'under review'.

This somewhat confirms our previous report about the Samsung Galaxy S5 being expected to feature an aluminium unibody metal chassis.

Another previous report suggested the South Korean manufacturer plans to release two versions of the alleged Galaxy S5. As per the report, there would be two variants of the Galaxy S5: a premium variant sporting a metal chassis and a flexible OLED, and a variant which would come with the usual plastic body, as found on other Galaxy smartphones.

The alleged premium model can be named as Samsung Galaxy F and will sport a metal body. Also it's been reported that Samsung will not launch both the devices together. First the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be launched in 2014 with later following the alleged premium version Samsung Galaxy F.

In December 2013, a GFXBench listing had revealed a device codenamed Samsung SM-G900S sporting a screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels (2K). The device was believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is expected to come with a 5.0- or 5.2-inch display, making the pixel density an incredible 560ppi at the said resolution.

So far, other rumoured specifications of the alleged Galaxy S5 include a 64-bit Exynos chipset or a Snapdragon chipset; 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera, a 4000mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz UI on top

Hot News : Nokia Launching Android Smartphone "Normandy" Soon in 2014

Nokia Launching Android Smartphone "Normandy" Soon

Yes You Read That Well...!! This News Has Been Leaked All Over The Internet That Nokia (Now Owned By Microsoft) Soon planned to launch an Android Phone. The company's Android handset is codenamed " Normandy ", according to sources of The Verge. The codename - apparently one of several for the clandestine phone - appeared in November along with an alleged photo courtesy of Twitter tipster @evleaks.

Nokia's Android phone is said to run a "forked" version of Google's OS, similar to how Amazon makes use of the the system for its hardware.
Normandy can run Android apps like Skype and other popular applications, according to the sources. Because of its forked status, Nokia would be able to fully customize the OS, taking it out from under Google rule.

Nokia's first Android phone, rumoured to be dubbed Normandy, might still be alive and could see light of the day soon, if @evleaks is to be believed.
The popular phone tipster in a bid to put an end to further speculation about Nokia's upcoming Android phone, said that reports saying the Nokia Normandy will not see the light of day are incorrrect. The tweet by @evleaks reads, "The reports of Normandy's death have been greatly exaggerated."

Unfortunately, the tweet by the tipster does not shed much light on the development of the Nokia Normandy phone. It is noteworthy that in the past, @evleaks has come out with fairly accurate information regarding yet-to-be-announced devices and we will not be surprised if he manages to hit the bull's eye even with this leak.

Earlier reports had suggested that the Nokia Normandy phone was the Finnish giant's first device based on Google's Android OS, and the Nokia Normandy efforts had been described as 'full steam ahead'. However, there has been no clarity as of now whether the alleged Nokia Normandy Android phone is true or just a rumour.

It would be interesting to see if Nokia can release its rumoured Android phone ahead of the completion of the Microsoft deal. Especially considering that after signing the pact, Nokia can neither license the 'Nokia' brand for use in connection with mobile device sales nor use the brand on its own mobile devices for a specific period.

Prior to this, Nokia's alleged Normandy was leaked in a render showing the device in various colour variants.

The leaked render showed the yet-to-announced device sporting a similar design to the Asha touch range of phones with a physical back button on the front panel. An earlier report had claimed that the Finnish handset maker might launch the Normandy in 2014. The report also revealed that Nokia, following the lead of Amazon, has been working on a fully-tailored or forked version of Android, like the software on the online retail giant's Kindle Fire tablet range.
